Another Part of Me
Get rid of BiBiN.exe virus
Being a creative crafter and a technical junkie at the same time is a tough job but I like it! So this is just another part of me. I would like to share the technique that worked for me in getting rid of the BiBiN.exe virus problem in my laptop.
The virus usually prevents task manager from getting started and so you could not kill it directly. The menace doesn't end there and it goes on to choke MSOffice programs and other exe files in the system folder. Just follow these simple steps to clear the virus.
- Start command prompt using run. (Press win key+ R to start run and type in cmd)
- Type the command 'tasklist' in the command prompt and you'll get the list of processes running in your system
- You'll find a process named 'WinSeven.exe' in the list. This is the process started by the BiBiN.exe virus. WinSeven
is a benign name to fool us.
- To kill the process use the following command
- taskkill /f /im WinSeven.exe
- This is enough to get rid of the virus in the current session but not forever. So we have to remove it from the
startup programs to prevent it from running every time we boot our system.
- Start msconfig using run.
- Move to the startup tab and remove the process that locates to WinSeven.exe
That is it! And you'll be free of the BiBiN.exe virus
